How I deliver a $999 AI assessment with Claude Speaker 1: And by the end of this episode, you're going to learn exactly how I deliver and fulfill a $999 AI tools assessment to small business owners. This is by far, it's not even close. By far the most beginner friendly business model in the entire world when it comes to making money with AI. You don't need to be technical. You don't need to know how to code. You literally just need to talk to people that you probably already know. And Claude does 98% of the heavy lifting with this offer. You're going to be making about $500 an hour if you do this right. So we're going to go into this model in detail. So let's go ahead and dive in. Starting by talking about what is an AI assessment. So there's a lot of different flavors of assessments that you can sell. The one that we sell and the one that we specialize in is called an AI tools assessment. So an AI tools assessment is where we spend time with the business owner to figure out what is taking their time, what are they doing manually, what are their bottlenecks, and then we go out and we have Claude research existing off-the-shelf tools, tools that already exist, that can fix those problems that that business owner is having. Right. A lot of times these aren't even AI tools. These are literally just software tools that they didn't know existed. And then we're writing it up in a report and we are presenting it to the business owner and we are just prescribing them those tools. Notice how we're not building anything. We're not implementing anything. We're literally just telling them, Hey, you have this problem. This tool can fix it. And that is all an AI tools assessment does. I've sold about 26 of them this year for a thousand dollars a pop. It's super easy. How does it actually work? Well, the first part of the paid assessment is the 60 minute discovery call. This is going to range 45 to 60 minutes. Sometimes you can do it quicker. Sometimes it'll take a bit longer, but we spend that time asking the business owner questions about their business. Things like, Where does work tend to pile up? What are you doing manually? What do you hate doing in your business? What sucks up all your time? We take the transcript of that call, we feed it into Claude co-work, and we have Claude identify the pain points, and then we have Claude go out and find the tools that we can prescribe. We then take Claude's output and we dump it into a template that I'm actually going to give away for free. You can get that at the link in the description below, the exact template that we use to deliver these assessments. We dump it into that template and that template is going to contain something that we call an impact versus effort matrix. Which basically shows the business owner, hey, here are all the tools that we recommend that are high impact and low effort, meaning they move the needle, but they're easy to implement, as well as a list of all the tools that we recommend. And then lastly, we're going to spend 30 minutes with the business owner just presenting the report. And we usually do this over a Zoom call. Now, this business model is beginner-proof because the whole method lives in a Claude skill. Like, Claude can do pretty much all of the heavy lifting here. Every step is in plain English. We're not using code. We're not building automations. And us, as the human, we're the human in the loop before we actually ship the report. So we're able to add that level of human impact, add that level of quality control before we actually deliver it to the client. Now, this is exactly what the client's buying, right? So first of all, who is the client? The client is going to be a local business doing anywhere from 500K to 5 million a year in revenue that is non-technical. Now, typically we're dealing directly with the owner. This could be, you know, a lot of times this is actually an online business owner as well, someone who runs some sort of online business, but in that 500K to $5 million a year revenue range is the sweet spot. Someone who's non-technical who wants to learn about AI, but doesn't really know where to start. Now, I already mentioned the scope. So the scope of the engagement is we do one discovery call on the front end, then we deliver the assessment report, which again, you can get the template for that report for free at the link in the description. We're going to prescribe one tool per pain point. Usually, that ends up being three to seven different tools that we prescribe. We're going to quantify the ROI, and then we're going to have a 30-minute review call where we go over the report with them in detail. Now, like I said, we charge about $999 for this engagement paid before the discovery call. So that's important. Make sure you get paid before you begin the engagement. All in, that's going to take you about two hours from beginning to end to complete this engagement. So you're going to be making about $500 an hour. Now, the method that we use. It's something that we came up with internally. We call this the three outcomes framework. So we make sure that every tool we're prescribing to a client provides one of three outcomes. It's either going to help them make more money, it's going to help save them time, or it's going to improve the quality of their product or service. So if we can't honestly relate one of the tools that we're prescribing back to one of those three outcomes, then we remove it from the report. Because at the end of the day, one of those three outcomes is what every client is trying to achieve when it comes to AI. So let's talk about step by step. How do we fulfill this? So step one is the actual discovery call. Going back to the scope of the engagement, remember the first thing that we do is a 45 to 60 minute discovery call. And this is the most important part because it's the part that you as a human are going to really make sure you get good at. Now, we've actually built a voice agent that can do the discovery call portion for us. But if you're new to this, especially if you're a beginner, you're going to do your first 10, 15, 20 discovery calls yourself. Because you need to learn how these go, because if you were to build a voice agent from day one, you wouldn't even know how to build it. Step one is the actual call, right? The call is the raw material. This is the transcript that you're going to use to give to Claude to actually run the analysis and do the heavy lifting. So you could actually have Claude write the question bank that you're going to ask on the discovery call before you get on the call with a client. So I give you a prompt here in the video that you can paste into Claude before the call. I'll read it out for the folks who are listening on the podcast. So you can say, write a discovery call script. For a industry owner doing blank revenue. Cover the three outcomes, either make more money, save time or improve quality. Give me 12 questions in plain English. Each one asks for a number or an example. Order them from easiest answer to hardest. Put the questions the owner will find uncomfortable last. And we want the owner to get a little uncomfortable, right? Obviously, we don't want to be confrontational, but they're paying us to ask the hard questions that they're unwilling to ask themselves. Now, we're going to make sure we record this call. We can use an AI-powered note taker like Fathom or like Fireflies or like Otter, anything that's going to give us a transcript. We're going to want to make sure that we quantify, we get the words directly from the owner and have them quantify how many hours per week these bottlenecks are costing them, who is involved in the process and how much money each process is costing them as well. So that way when we deliver the report, And we give an estimated ROI. It's based on the actual numbers that they gave us. We're not just guessing and having to, you know, guess at how much money it's saving them or how much time it's saving them. Now, one thing I will say, so again, you can use this prompt in Claude to generate some questions that you can go into the discovery call armed with. We have a community called AI Operator Academy. Inside our community, we give our members a full question bank of discovery calls for like seven or eight different industries, the most common industries. So inside the community, you get access to the full discovery call question bank. You also get access to a Claude skill. That does step two for you. So I'm going to get into that here shortly. But basically when we paste the transcript into Claude, our community members get a skill called the AI tools assessment skill that runs the research and runs the entire report process for them automatically. So if you don't have the skill, like if you're not a member of the community, you're going to have to build this skill yourself from scratch or just kind of Prompt Claude the best you can to get those results. So if you want to join the community and get access to this skill as well as all the other resources included that I'm mentioning here, you can do so aoa.community or you can go to the link in the description to join AI Operator Academy. Now, that leads us nicely into step 2, where again, we're going to paste the transcript of our call into Claude and we're either going to run our AI tools assessment skill if we have it, Or if we don't, we're going to just try to ask Claude to go out and pull out the main pain points from the transcript and then go out to the internet and find any tools that might be able to fix those pain points. And we're going to make sure that we tell Claude to focus on tools that either make money, save time, or increase quality of product or service. What Claude is going to do, again, the skill does this automatically or you can just tell Claude to rank each pain point and each prescribed tool on a matrix of effort versus impact. Basically, give each prescription an impact score and an effort score, and we want to take the recommendations that have the highest combined score because those are going to be the tools that create the biggest impact, but they require the lowest amount of effort to implement. So when we create this matrix on the report, which I'll show you here in a second, it's literally just like a chart where the top left quadrant are what we call quick wins. Those are the tools and the prescriptions that are high impact and low effort, the ones that we have the clients focus on first. Which leads us into step three, which is the prescribed step, which is where we build our report and actually present it to the client and we present it in step four. So again, it's going to be one tool per quick win is exactly what we're prescribing in this case. So Claude is going to recommend. The exact tools that can fix the pain points that the client mentioned, and it typically the tools that we're going to recommend are either Claude co-work itself, right? If it's a workflow that would be easily completed by Claude co-work, sometimes it's going to be a Claude skill. And remember, we're not building the skill for them. We're just telling them like, hey, you have this problem. You could turn that into a Claude skill and a Claude skill would automate that. So we're just kind of telling them what they could do. Or depending on the workflow, if it's like a common workflow that a lot of people have, chances are there's an off the shelf existing software tool that exists that you can just tell them like, hey, you know, this tool exists. You probably never heard of it, but it does exactly what you need. So those are one of the three. Those are the three options in terms of what tools we recommend. On the report, we're going to include the ROI that it's actually going to get them based on the numbers that they gave us in the discovery call. So remember how we asked them, okay, well, how much is your time worth? How much time is this process taking you? How much is this costing you today? So we relay the ROI to them in their own words, which makes it so much more trustworthy because we're not just guessing and trying to figure out how much we think it's worth. We're going off their actual numbers. So if we jump into our, this is our AI tools assessment template here. And again, this is completely free at the link in the description. If you guys want to grab this, feel free to, but this is the real report that we give to clients. This is inside of Claude design. So orange and white are like my brand color. So if I wanted to make it blue, I can make it blue. I can make it green. I can make it purple. You could really tailor this to your branding if you'd like. But just to kind of scroll through it at a high level, so we've got our title slide, then we've got our executive summary, then we've got our quick wins. So this is where we summarize those things in the effort versus impact matrix that, actually I just skipped over that. So we've got the impact versus effort matrix here that, like I said, focuses on the quick wins, which are the top left quadrant, those things that are high impact, low effort. So the next slide after that is where we actually explain the quick wins. So like, hey, here are all the tools. Here are all the things that we've quantified as quick wins. And this is where on this line, we just name the pain point and the next line names the tool. And it's pretty much that simple. So this slide is like a summary of the quick wins. The next slide is all of our recommended solutions in one place. So this is where we're going to put all the different tools that we're prescribing here, including the cost of each tool, the setup time, and how much time it's going to save the client. Next we go into what we call our four day quick wins plan. So this is where we give the client a super easy to follow, super digestible, just four day plan for getting started implementing what we're recommending as quickly as possible. So that might be like, hey, day one, you're going to sign up for Claude and you're going to connect it to Gmail. That's it. Day two, you're going to do X and then you're going to do Y. Bottom line is this is going to be tailored to exactly the tools that we're prescribing, and we just want to make it as simple as possible for them to get value out of the report, which is why we put everything into a simple four-day plan. Now, the next slide is what comes after quick wins. So this is going to be anything that, going back to our impact versus effort matrix, anything that falls into the top right quadrant. So the top right is going to be high effort, high impact. Meaning high impact, it moves the needle, but high effort means it takes a lot of time to implement. So this is what we call major projects. And we take anything that would have fallen into major projects, and we come down here and put it into this slide that says what comes after quick wins. Because these are the projects that, you know, might be a little bit of a heavier lift, but they could, you know, pay us for in terms of an additional engagement to help them with, or that they can just know that like, hey, these are going to move the needle, but they're just going to be more effort. Next, we've got our financial impact slide. So this is where we quantify exactly how much money they're going to make or how much money they're going to save from implementing the tools that we're suggesting in this report. So we're going to give the monthly net ROI. We're going to give them their weekly time returned and their total monthly tool cost. So how much it's going to cost them each month to implement the tools that we're recommending here. And then lastly, it's just next steps. So this is where we're just going to say like, hey, you know, implement the The four day plan and then schedule your review call, which leads us into. The last step here, so we just talked about the deliverable, the report, we kind of just went over all that. But the last step here is the review call. So that is where we just have a 30-minute call with the client, and we literally just reviewed the report with them. So we jump on Zoom for 30 minutes, I'm just screen sharing their report, walking them through it, and explaining exactly what we prescribed and why, and asking if they have any questions. And from there, once we go through the report, We're going to pitch our upsell, which we call AI concierge. Now, I'm not going to go super deep into AI concierge here because I have a lot of other videos and a lot of other content talking about AI concierge and what that does. Just know that that is our recurring revenue. Essentially retainer offer, where after we do a paid assessment for a client, they can pay us monthly, usually in the range of $1,500 to $2,000 a month to help them implement what we found during the assessment. Usually what we're doing as AI concierges is we're just helping the client implement Claude co-work into their business. We're basically training them on how to use Claude co-work, and we're helping them build Claude skills to automate a lot of the repetitive tasks in their business. So this is the kind of the offer ladder that I follow and that I teach our community members inside AI Operator Academy to follow. The ones that follow this to a T find that they have a ton of success following this exact model because what we do is in terms of our offer ladders, we will start by offering a free mini assessment. So obviously, we just went over the full paid assessment, what that entails. The mini assessment is a miniature version of that. So instead of prescribing three to seven tools, the mini assessment prescribes one tool and only a 15-minute discovery call. So it ends up being a almost like a watered down version that we give away as like a lead generator to get people interested in the full paid assessment that I just discussed. Once we pitch and sell the paid assessment, then we upsell what I just mentioned, AI concierge, right? So with the AI concierge retainer, That is, like I said, we make anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 a month to help them learn Claude and build Claude skills. And the AI tools assessment is meant to just be kind of our gateway drug to AI concierge because we're going to make a lot of our money as an AI concierge more so than doing these one-off assessments, even though making $1,000 per assessment is a really good business. So in terms of next steps, again, I encourage you to run one free 15 minute mini assessment on a business owner that you know this week. And again, a free mini assessment is take everything that you just learned in this episode, but remove the actual report. Reduce the discovery call time from 45 minutes to 15 minutes and prescribe one tool for one bottleneck for a business owner. So again, the mini assessment is like a very much watered down version of everything that I just talked about, designed to get the business owner interested in the full paid assessment. And then from the paid assessment, then upsell AI concierge, which I talk about more in other videos. So if you're interested in learning more about how to do this, if you want the skill that does the report for you, pretty much does all the heavy lifting for you, everything that I just mentioned, join AI Operator Academy. The link is aoa.community or you can join at the description below. If you want all the free resources that I mentioned in this video, link to that is going to be in the description below as well. Thank you so much for watching and I'll be back soon.
